Non-Sedation Dog & Cat Dental Day

Once a month, each month, Paws & Effect, LLC hosts Julie Shinew, a dog and cat dentist.  She will scale and clean your pet's teeth.  She takes before and after pictures for you! Julie is also big on preventative.  So you will walk away with a toothbrush, tooth gel and instructions on how to keep your pet's teeth clean!   

Julie has been cleaning pet's teeth for over 30 years, after working as a vet-technician.     

Why?  85% of dogs will suffer from periodontal disease by the age of 3.  A.WHOPPING.85%!  This can lead to mouth pain, bad breath, and loss of teeth.  If left unchecked, bacteria from the teeth can travel down into the heart, kidneys and liver.  Infection can be deadly if not taken care of immediately.     

However, routinely taking care of your dog and cat's teeth can help to prevent periodontal disease.  A good healthy diet free of heavy starches and carbohydrates can help as well.
